Wow, that's sad, I really liked him. Ralph Waite, Sid Ceasar, Shirley Temple - too many going too fast. Rest in peace Ralph, and thank you.

Another stinking death? Soon there won't be any old stars left, and we'll be left with the mostly duds of today (think: Keanu)!

RIP, Ralph. But geez, I wish you and the others were still here!

Side note: Ralph may have seemed simple based on the characters he played, but he actually attended YALE Divinity School and earned a master’s in divinity!.

Default RIP: Ralph Waite, Patriarch Of 'The Waltons', Dies At 85!

When they say they come in threes I guess there is something to it. First this week we lost Shirley Temple, then Sid Ceasar and now Ralph Waite.

For some reason I was flipping channels and stopped on an episode of "The Waltons" yesterday. I don't know why I sat and watched it. I never watched that show in the past.

I thought it was a good wholesome show for a family to watch. It didn't have the filthy jokes, gratuitous sex and violence like you have in todays shows.

great pic of him. Odd that deaths do come in threes.

Love the Waltons. Watch it every day.

Goodnight and rest in peace
