The truth is that sizes have always changed through the years. I think in Marilyn Monroe's time she was a size 12 or something. I try on lots of vintage clothing myself and it fits differently than clothing today.
Back in the day, it was actually fashionable to have curves. I highly respect the pin-up models of the 1940-1950's. They were very sexy, IMHO...

If she's considered fat,I'm glad I don't live in Southern California--I'd be considered enormous at size 14/16!

The so called "Media" is getting worse and worse.....
Here's what I noticed.....they plaster pic's of Nicole Richie, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley and the daughter of Versace all over the place....because they deal with anorexia, carrying on on how bad it is, how sad it is, give younger people the wrong message etc. 
But, in the next edition, they will plaster pic's of celebs who have gained weight (like Oprah, Jennifer Lopez, Tyra Banks...etc.)
I think, they still haven't made up their mind, which weight direction they should "pull", and what is acceptable.
Why can't they just let it be already, and have the individual just be comfortable......and sorry, being comfortable is NOT measured in sizes IMHO!  |

And more than half of celebrities have major plastic surgery done to look they way that they do.
I don't mind my "muffin top" & cellulite. I'm not going to have plastic surgery or do drugs to remove it. It's called HEALTH.
If looking sexy is a bigger concern than health, than we have a big problem here.

that bathing suit fit her very poorly. i don't think her body would have been criticized so much had she been wearing a more flattering suit, but that one highlighted all the wrong parts.

Whether or not she's "fat", it was just in poor taste for the media to ridicule her.
I watch her show every week, I love it.

It isnt so much that she was fat, it was really that she was SOOOOOOO cottage cheesy and cellulite-y on that picture. Ive always thought her to be very pretty but that one pic of her was not at all flattering. The pics posted on this thread are NOT the pic that caused the uproar.
