Eeek!!

Not really a fan of either those two but if they bring piano appeal to folks, it is all good!! Or an introduction to the piano classics. I recall Yanni and Tesh having a big female following. Embarrassed to admit that the young Liberace made my heart flutter a bit--tuxedo and clean cut. Adorable.

Now I'm going to do some reading on Tesh and Yanni. Love these interesting threads.

I'm trying to recall a song by Tesh that really moved me. It had quite a bit of radio play because it was so good and that was like 20-30 years or so ago.

EDIT: oh yeah, it was on a rock station but it isn't really rock but his voice and his piano did it.

Don't remember much about Yanni aside from him being one good looking man who dated (or was it married) that older woman who played Crystal in "Dynasty". He moved on and she is living out in the desert someplace.

You all need to be schooled! Lang Lang is the "hot" classical pianist/artist on that scene today.

A bit of a "Mr. Showmanship" like Liberace, but he also has verified classical piano chops to back it up.

My dad loves Lang Lang and has seen him in concert several times. Even with Lang Lang, my father tends to go for the hot female artists that play Rachmaninoff and Chopin. He is in his 80's but sure loves the ladies who can play!

I do need to update my classical music collection with some of the younger artists. Guess that I'm becoming an old fart in my musical tastes. My husband and kids all complain so I'm trying to be better. Still can't stand hip hop but I do try, hehe.
