He also battled depression for most of his life - there is still a stigma attached for ordinary folk, let alone someone who's supposed to be funny all the time.

When you have depression it is incredibly easy to feel hopeless about something like a major health crisis.

He became unwell, in every sense of the word.

He couldn't access proper care, for any of it. THAT'S the real tragedy. If RW can't, what chance do the rest of us have?

Depression or not, his situation was hopeless. The best care money could buy couldn't change that.

Some people want to live no matter the circumstance, some don't and that's OK, IMO.

A gilded cage is still a cage.
