Yeah, I was on FB when that news item suddenly appeared. Gosh
He was a virtuoso at flowing improv & mimicry, talented with both serious (Awakenings, Fisher King) and humorous material.
Several of his live stand-up concerts are on YT. Used to love when he was interviewed on Charlie Rose's show, because he had time to riff.

How very strange. On the news it was mentioned that he suffered from depression, so I assume that his death was a suicide.

Wow! That picture..he looked like a shell of himself.

They always say these comedians are tortured souls disguise.

Truly, Truly a sad day. I was more of a fan of his dramatic work than his comedy, but a tremendous talent and he will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

What talent he had.

So sad that his demons were stronger than he was.

I will absolutely miss him.

I loved What Dreams May Come. So sad he couldn't battle out of his own depression. RIP Robin! You will be sorely missed.

Couldn't help but think of a line from one of my favorite bands in this very sad moment. Suddenly, you were gone, from all the lives you left your mark upon. (Rush - Afterimage)

I really hated his annoying standup except for one of the more recent shows, but I absolutely loved him as an actor. RIP Robin.
