I think we all agree that self murder/suicide is never the answer. Well, all of us EXCEPT----> Gene.

“…They think of suicide as a quick route to oblivion, an escape. Far from it. It merely alters a person from one form to another. Nothing can destroy the spirit. Suicide only precipitates a darker continuation of the same conditions from which escape was sought. A condition under circumstances so much more painful.”

― Richard Matheson, What Dreams May Come

Neither do I. Depression in is worst form is a lifelong disorder that can only be managed, but never cured. It doesn't even need a traumatic event to send someone into a tailspin of utter hopelessness.

Gene basically mocks chronic sufferers of depression for lacking his mother's genetics. Might was well point and laugh at someone with heart disease.

Gene Simmons is an ass. He is also a has been.

Even Elie Wiesel does not think that people should indulge in comparing every tragedy and horrific event to the Holocaust. There are many truly horrendous things that happen, and different people process them in different ways.

We can't walk inside of the shoes of another. Those who try are doomed to fail.

Gene Simmons was in a third rate 1970s rock band. It's over. He should shut up.

Makes me wonder why the Ramones are gone. And Lou Reed.
My kids are saddened that they can never see these ground breaking American artists.

They don't give a crap about KISS or their stupid make up and special effects.

Fake and talent free was not enough for Mr. Simmons? Now add "judgmental and self righteous".

Has been. That's all.

I'm not defending what he said, but try to keep it in context before getting the gallows ready.
Uh, it's the same context.
