BEIJING (AP) — Jackie Chan apologized to the public Wednesday over his son's detention on drug charges in Beijing, saying he's ashamed and saddened.

Why? It's just marijuana. It wasn't smart for his son to have it in a country with such strict laws, but it's not like the kid raped someone or murdered someone.

jackie is a great credit to the people and has done well. it would seem that we are powerless to transmit our character to our children.
having said that there are millions of americans that got thru the 60's a breath away from a felony.
