For some odd reason, I recall having a crush on Toni Tennille of The Captain and Tennille, who had a variety show in the mid-1970s. This was when I was six or seven years old, so I can't take it that seriously. These days it would be more likely my crush would be on the Captain, if you catch my drift.

The girls in my classes were celebrities to me. Crystal in 2nd grade, Laurie and Jeannie in 3rd grade, Carla, Malorie in 4th grade, Linda and Donna in 5th grade, Laurie and Theresa in 6th grade, Nancy, Cathy, and Pam in 7th grade, Barbara, Nancy, and Pat in the 8th grade, Nancy, Linda, Malorie, Laurie in 9th grade, Kim, Norma, and Gina in 10th grade, Patricia, Linda, Kim in 11th grade, and Connie, Kim, and Linda in 12th grade.

Seriously, Barbara Eden, Jayne Kennedy, Rachel Welch, Yvonne De Carlo, Pat Priest (Marilyn from The Monsters), Angie Dickinson, and Karen Black.

Way too many to name here.

As a kid: Johnny Crawford in 'The Riffleman', Dick Clark, Jackie Wilson, Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, Bobby Sherman, Paul McCartney, etc...

In my teens and 20's: Jim Morrison of 'The Doors', Michael Cole of 'Mod Squad', Waylon Jennings, Carlos Santana...

When we were much younger there were two television programs that we absolutely could not miss.
I guess those would be appropriate for this topic.

One was Dark Shadows and my favorite character was Barnabas Collins and the other was Batman and my favorite character was Alfred.

Actually there were 3 programs because one was on in the morning and it was Ivanhoe but we could only watch that during the summer months.

When I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, I was almost ten years old. I immediately developed a crush on Paul McCartney. That crush lasted for years.

Later on, I developed a huge crush on Don Johnson. I was older and married (still growing up though), but I thought he was so handsome during his "Miami Vice" days.

In the mid to late 70s I liked Kristy McNichol. She was only 7 years older than me. Then I became a teenager and I no longer had crushes on celebrities. Why obsess over someone I never met when I can date women at my school (and later at work or the clubs).
