I have zero idea where the truth lies. And you don't either.
Here's the thing. These things go in predictable ways, almost as if scripted. Somebody levels an accusation. The lynch mob forms. Lives are destroyed.
Sometimes the person being accused is guilty. Sometimes the person being accused is as innocent as a lamb. But that doesn't keep the media from destroying reputations. The media simply doesn't care about truth or evidence or anything else. They are simply banging the drum as loudly as possible.
Need an illustration? Let's take the McMartin Preschool Trial back in the 80s. It was a classic miscarriage of justice and the media went into an absolute feeding frenzy over it. Lives were shattered as a result.
So now, we have a woman who alleges that Bill Cosby raped her some thirty years ago. At this point, without evidence, it's her word against hers. Maybe she's telling the truth. Maybe she's a first-class lunatic. Either way, there's precious little that can be proved one way or another as to the charges against Bill Cosby.
What about the lives of the victims? They haven't been destroyed? It goes both ways. And my goodness we are skeptical when ONE chick accuses someone of rape. Why are we still skeptical when 16 speak out?
Yeah. What's wrong when we are more skeptical of 16 unrelated individuals claiming the same thing happened to them over a span of decades than we are of one man? This county's attitude toward rape victims has always been shameful. And it continues. Sickening.
And when asked the question if one of our daughters was raped, we sit behind the monitor and lie and say we'd wait before we have proof, knowing damn well that in our minds, whoever our daughter accused would be guilty. We wouldn't say, "Well baby. I'm not so sure. It's your word against his. You could be lying."
Yet, it's different for the daughters of others. America never ceases to hit rock bottom on the humanity scale. lol
Until proven otherwise, I reserve judgement. The claims are unfalsifiable and therefore unable to be proven beyond reasonable doubt (unless he confesses).

Also "reasonable doubt" is a court of law thing. We're talking about court of public opinion.

People are stupid. 17 accusers and some people STILL don't believe it.
Stupidity is why there are 911 conspiracy theorists.
Think about it people..... 30 years ago a Black man allegedly raping some white women? A prosecutor would have jumped at that case to destroy him back then if these claims had merit at the time.
Likely? These ladies and him partied and had wild sex and took drugs.
What's interesting in all of this is that Lena Dunham (an upper-class white woman who created the HBO series "Girls") basically ADMITTED IN HER OWN BOOK to molesting her, at the time, younger 11 year old sister. That story barely lasted a week with plenty of liberals/feminists defending her actions. Here, we merely have accusations and people want to burn him at the stake. Just more double standards at play, as usual.
Just to be clear, I'm in no way defending Cosby. I don't even like him. For all we know, he really did rape those women.

Welcome to America, where the NFL and NBA are expected to be the arbiters in domestic violence cases, and the TV networks are the judge and jury in rape cases. Don't we have a judicial system for this sort of thing?
