She was a beautiful woman but I don't agree she was on par with Sophia Loren. But, of course, it's all opinion.
However, it was in Johnny's book, I thought, that Vivian just didn't "get" his lifestyle. I know the movie painted her to be kinda nasty and that her children were disappointed that she was portrayed that way, but I'm sure Johnny fell in love with June because they had SO MUCH in common and understood each other in a way we can't begin to understand.
If the scope is limited purely to looks she was a VERY hot woman. Loren was IMO nowhere near that hot or exotic looking.
Three weeks after they met, the Air Force sent Cash to Germany. During his three year military tour overseas, the couple wrote each other daily, amassing over 10,000 pages of love letters. Many of the letters he wrote to her were published in I Walked the Line, which was co-written by Ann Sharpsteen
You got the last word 100% right ...beHOLD-HER. That chick was smokun' hot well into her 50's. Imagine just much of a wart-faced, bald, fat skank Lindsey Lohan is going to be once she hits 40.
Imagine just bad Lohan is going to look at this age - Vivian at 60! She won't be able to give away by 50 mark my words.
It seems Vivian & I both peaked late in life. Here's me in 1988 (130lbs) & me last yr (220lbs). Also is Tom Platz before & after. If he did why can't I? There is no reason. I hope to peak by 50 w/ a 52" chest, 32" waist, 48" hips, 30" thighs. < Not too bad for an "old" geezer IMO. A few more before & after(s) of guys who had the will to push themselves.
BTW - I am 100% natural. Here's a few of guys who permanently F'ed they're bodies up w/ steroid use.
