The ones that have a very subtle enhancement end up looking good. Usually the reaction is "I can't quite place it, but you look really great"... I think Fergie looked great at the AMAs.

We might not know. How would we really? After "good" plastic surgery someone might just look more rested and better, but not in a starkly noticeable way.
Well, I think Joan Rivers looked MUCH better in her later years than she ever did when she was younger. Yes, it was a fake look, but she still was much more attractive than in her younger years.

I think the initial nose job was an improvement. It wasn't a bad nose job at all, but it made her unrecognizable, which is not good for a celebrity.
But I think she's had more work done since then, and the results haven't been quite as good. Especially around her eyes. She's getting that pinched look.
