I remember him and his store here in Brooklyn. The commercials were memorable.

I always thought the guy in the commercials was crazy eddie. learn something new every day.

During their heyday thanks to Crazy Eddie there were quite a few copycats right down to the Crazy Eddie style of commercials in other parts of the country. Baltimore had Luskins "...the cheapest guy in town !!". That chain is also long defunct.
