The last name had also been misspelled for his star in the Rock and Roll Walk of Fame induction several years ago, but it has since been replaced with the correct spelling.
Rhoads, Hendrix, and Cobain are on my list. All were immensely talented.
John Hurt
Charmian Carr
Monty Hall
Pat Summerall
Robin Williams
Muhammad Ali
Doris Roberts
Judy Garland
Jim Henson
Vincent Price
Tony Jay
My favorite of all the list was Tony Jay because he was known for playing Frollo though my favorite actress in the list is definitely Charmian Carr. She was a sweet lady back then and I miss her sweet voice.
I've said it before.. It's going to be horrible when Shatner goes.
There's been plenty that were shocking.. I was shocked by Robin Williams and Michael Jackson.. But.. I don't overly feel like I've missed out because they passed away. Robin Williams' death probably saved the memory of Mrs Doubtfire being sullied, because they were going to make a sequel.
Hated to see Johnny Cash go, but.. It's not like he was young or anything.
Michael Clark Duncan makes me wonder.. He died pretty young and was a good actor.. Cobain, you wonder the music he'd have made..
Rik Mayall, the British comic. To this day, I'm still wishing that was a hoax or a mistake or something. Also:
John Ritter (he was my most favorite comic actor growing up)
John Lennon (guy had decades of classics left in him)
Kurt Cobain (the John Lennon of the 90s)
Phil Hartman (a legend; he was to us what the radio legends like Jack Benny were to an older generation)
David Bowie (gone way too soon and unexpectedly)
Davey Jones (again, just unexpected)
Princess Di (heartbreaking, especially because it seemed as if she was finally getting her life together)
John Hurt
Charmian Carr
Monty Hall
Pat Summerall
Robin Williams
Muhammad Ali
Doris Roberts
Judy Garland
Jim Henson
Vincent Price
Tony Jay

One other celebrity I would like to add is Rod Roddy, announcer of the Price Is Right for many years alongside host Bob Barker. He was a great guy.

Now I have to add another celebrity who just passed away from cirrhosis on Dec 10, Charles Green Jr AKA Angry Grandpa. RIP Mr. Green.
