It makes me wonder what Lucie and Desi Jr. think about it. They're the ones who had their mom's remains moved from CA to the family plot in Jamestown about 10 years ago.
There is actually a woman I see around town who bears a distinct resemblance to that statue. Her hair is slicked back, like something that a Fonzie type guy would wear in the 50's / 60's.
I don't know her personally, just by sight, and she seems nice enough, but it's jarring that the resemblance is so strong!
The original sculptor should be arrested. That statute is absolutely pathetic.
Where are all the rich Hollywood types, who are forking over $20M for the mega-mansions? There are probably 10000 sculptors who can do a far better job than this. She deserves better.
That's a p-ss-poor "likeness". How sad. There's a bronze statue of her sitting on a bench in Palm Springs that looks like her, and she's recognizable without an ID plaque.
I wish I had a dime for every bronze (or other) sculpture I've seen that didn't even remotely resemble the subject. Where do they get these supposed artists?! Most five year olds could do better!!!!
