I think that it is better to be critical and honest than to appease or be 'polite' (read: hypocritical). I'd rather be with people who are brutally honest and truly tell me their opinions than devil tongued people who only tell me things they know I would like to hear.
Iím simply of the opinion that people who lie to me do not respect me, so in my eyes, not lying can only be a sign of respect.

No, I didnt know you were 'playing', and I have seen alot of countries too.
He is a huge sucess in his field and well respected in the industry. He is also one of the wealthiest men in the country do to his phenomanal success in finding the "right stuff ".He does not appear on national tv and announce himself a singer, so his singing ability is a moot point. He is finding a first rate singer out of a zillion wannabes, lots of weeding out and alot of folks who just want to get on tv.. I enjoy his no nonsense approach over the wishy washy pyscho Paula, though they do balance each other out.

I hate how the producers are editing his remarks this go round.
I could tell last night clips of him speaking was splice together.

Here an example remember glitter girl bitter departure the other night?
Apparently Simon said something that was not aired that ticked her off and she even informed us it was something not aired.

Also notice the ones that they air the background history are the ones they choose to go to Hollywood....hmmm

Simon is the ONLY reason that show is semi-tolerable. I think his bluntness is great, and his comments are hysterical. I loved his classic and oh-so-very-British "what the bloody hell was that?" comment he made last night. hahaha

LOL! The accent is definitely a plus as well as the "I can't believe this daft idiot" facial expressions.

I love when Simon turns to Paula & says, "Is that serious?!"
But even with Glitter girl (Alexus?), they all said that she would be very good for a cover band. And she FLIPPED OUT! Simon will point out when someone has talent, but just not right for this competition. I think that is fair.

Ok & I'll be the first to admit it......Simon is hot.

What about the girl in the red shirt, who talked so slow and Ryan actually waved his hand in front of her face before speaking to her. She seemed very nice, but she is an example of one who would get eaten alive by the process. It makes you wonder if these people actually WATCH the show???

Yeah, I think Simon is attractive, but he needs to do something about those t-shirts... is he always cold?

LOVE that guy! And Simon knew that America would be singing his song all week, which is why he made him sing it over & over. And well enough, all night I was lauging & singing that song!

And he had such good things to say about Simon, too!

Get a clue: Simon is an entertainer. He says these things because it helps the ratings. I'm sure he sincerely feels the way he speaks, but it's all an ACT. This is TELEVISION.
