That's quite a stretch. I thought Brokeback was horribly campy and Anne Hathaway's performance to be mediocre at best. It is one of the most overrated movies of all time. With that said, he was talented and it is a sad day. Whoever wrote "Fame and fortune don't bring you happiness" failed to mention that it also does not exempt you from depression, bipolar disorder or other mental illnesses. Who knows what really went through this person's head.

OMG!!! Brad Renfro was bad enough, but I wasn't shocked that he passed the way he did ... but Heath Ledger??? Shock shock shock That little girl of his looks so much like him too.

I feel bad that he's dead. I only saw him in "10 Things I Hate About You" a couple of years ago, but the guy was obviously young and it's always sad when a young promising actor dies. I was only 4 when River Phoenix died and was too young to realize the tragedy, but Heath Ledger has shown it to this country yet again.

He and Brad Renfro....far too young. My condolences to his parents, Michelle, and his daughter. They all have to be so torn up about this.

What a shock! He was so young and talented. I could not believe it when I saw it when I got home from work today. It truly is a sad loss for the entertainment industry as well as for his friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

He gave so much to that role, I agree wholeheartedly.

Let the healing continue, for his family now as well.
