If one of these things happens, the band's popularity dives:

1) One of members quite

2) One of the members got married

3) One of the members has a kid

Two out of those three things happened to One Direction. I think the are on a fast decline from now on.

These bands are crafted to have a 3-4 year life cycle. After that, the voices change, a couple come out as gay or there are drug issues. They hit a target audience of girls between 9&13 before they move on.

One Direction just celebrated their 5th anniversary.

They are releasing their 5th album soon and there is no reason to believe that it won't sell millions.

So, your theory of 3-4 years life cycle is wrong.

6 to 10 year cycle is more like it.

Both NSYNC and BSB were multi-platinum selling artists from about 1995 to 2005.

lol Right. They are purely a nostalgia act.

I doubt this is the END for 1D, but they've had a good run
