Jim Carrey's ex dies of apparent suicide

Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, has died of an apparent suicide, according to reports.

Reuters reports that White, an Irish-born make-up artist who was pictured out with Carrey in the past several months, was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment on Monday night, according to Los Angeles deputy chief coroner Ed Winter.

That is sad. I think Carrey himself suffer from mental problems.

Sad news indeed and a bad blow for Jim. I certainly dont think he has mental problems. He is great at convincing people he has with his antics. Just a great actor, in comedy and drama as well.

Tragic. This beautiful young woman was going through her own private hell.

Can't imagine what being romantically involved with Jim Carrey is like. That can't be easy, at all. I always found him offensively unfunny. His attempts to be funny seem to come from the same suicidal foundation that felled Robin Williams.

Of course, Twitter like Facebook presents the false public face, hiding the madness within.

Sad. I always found Carrey to be very funny. I didn't realize that he had such a difficult childhood, that he and his family were homeless while he was in high school, or that he had dyslexia.

There was a funny SNL skit years ago, wherein someone was playing Jim Carrey and Jim Carrey was playing James Stewart and they were supposed to be on a talk show. "James Stewart" gets up at one point and beats "Jim Carrey" with a baseballs bat, yelling, "I'm Jim Carrey! I need attention 24 hours a day!"

It was funny, but it also made you wonder, because it was actually Jim Carrey beating up on himself and saying what a lot of people think about him (that his overarching manner is attention-seeking.) He must have some sense of how he appears to the rest of the world.

Sad about his ex, though. Sad whenever someone feels the pain is too much to keep going.
