On aol this morning I read about Ms. Spears being escorted by ambulance to a hospital...or as the police radio responses were "the package in on its way".
My concern is this: It took 2 police helicopters, a dozen motorcycle cops and 2 police cruisers to accompany the ambulance. This is sickening. Hope she is paying for the services. Hope no one needed these people and response time was delayed.
Mental illness is a terrible thing to go through. Maybe this lady needs to go back to Louisianna and find herself again. Don't know!
I don't know that going back to Louisiana would be a good idea because her crazy selfish mother is there. I do with they would leave this poor girl alone. It saddens me to know that a few years ago she was just great talent and now she's so messed up. I feel sorry for her. She's so young. She had so much going for her. I hope she will recover from this and be the mother she wants to be.

Wow! she has a lot of problems. It's like every other week she's in the hospital for something. What's up with her? I've never seen or heard of a celebrity THAT bad...Sheesh! Even John Belushi had more control until his death.
can you imagine how lonely she must feel? i mean, how would you know who to trust? I would imagine everyone wants a part of you. And, she never really had a childhood. And, can you imagine having to live your life in a fish bowl and having EVERY mistake documented for all to see and comment on? It doesn't matter how poor or rich someone is, that must be a lonely existance.
I hope she gets the help she needs and that God can help her turn it around. My guess is everyone always told her to be one way and she was another and thus a very, very confused little girl. Sounds to me (from the reports I have read) that she has multiple personality disorder and bipolor disorder. So sad. Her poor kids.

Not sure about multiple personality disorder but several articles said she had medication for bipolar disorder and ADD and possibly she had abused illegal substances.
To survive in the entertainment industry you obviously need to be very self protective or something.
While I think its obvious that she has mental health issues (which I would too if I were her) I think its a bit precarious to listen to anyone reporting things like bipolar or ADD. Right now she is the center of a lot of "rags" attention - even her family is giving interviews to them - so I don't believe anything they say. When she gets the help she needs and gets back on track I'll watch the Barbara Walters special - and then maybe I'll believe some of it. The poor girl just needs to be left alone!
