I doubt it will occur. Seems that the only reason this person wants Jim moved to Florida is to promote his 'hall of fame'.

I guess the family has been fine for these several decades with his remains being in Paris.

That is a truly revolting idea. Jim Morrison hated Florida, disowned his family so much that he said his parents died and then was arrested in Miami. He also hated authority figures and would have despised the idea of some idiot using him as a tourist attraction. Let him stay in Paris--he would be much happier being buried among the European poets and authors he admired and respected.

Dumbest idea ever.

I have no problem with John Paul Jones' remains having been disinterred and brought from Paris to Annapolis for re-interment at the Naval Academy, but I think that Jim Morrison's remains can stay put.

When I was in paris in the 80s I visited his grave site. I took a few pictures of the bust sculpture which was stolen in 1988. I didn't take a picture of the ground where his body is buried because I didn't think to & the stone with his name & dates of death & birth was covered with flowers so I didn't see his name. The place was loaded with French kids drinking, smoking & talking. I had to ask a few of them to move just so I could take a few pics. I do wonder who has the sculpture 30 yrs later.

Jim Morrison hasn't rested in peace for many years (since his death in 1971). Some say he isn't buried their & some think he should be exhumed for a autopsy. He never had one performed on him & he was buried quickly with no marker for the first few years. The cemetery is beautiful with lots of trees & quite peaceful until you get near the lizard king grave. I didn't walk around the cemetery much & finding jims gravesite was quite easy. I should of checked out chopin & Oscar wilde but It didn't occur to me. I stayed at jims gravesite for maybe 10-15 mins. Had their been less people I would of stayed longer but it was too crowded on that summer day. Maybe I should of brought some wine & cups & shared with the French kids. At least I could say I was their.
