I watched that show many times and can still sing (if you can call it that) the theme song.

A few months ago I watched some of the "Patty Duke Show" reruns. As a kid of 12, I wanted to be just like Patty with the flip-do and boyfriends. Neither of which I was allowed to have, of course. But I had also discovered the Beatles, too, so I had my heart-throbs.

While remember Miss. Duke from watching reruns of the Patty Duke show on television, most recall her films: Valley of the Dolls, Miracle Worker, The Violation of Sarah McDavid, ... Ms. Duke took some very edgy film and television roles for her day.
