He had Multiple Myeloma (blood cancer). I'm not into the hollywood crowd thing but he will always be Chief Brody to me. He has my favorate movie phrase of all time in that at the end of Jaws as the shark was bearing down on him with the air tank in its mouth he quotes '' Smile you Son of a .....'' fires his rifle and then blows it up.
Still won't go past my waist in the ocean....lol.....

I loved his line "I think we need a bigger boat". What a horrible disease he had!
Jaws will always be the first movie that actually got to me and is one of the true classics out there in my opinion. R.I.P.
