He would burn through the remainder in weeks keeping up on all the stuff like houses, cars etc. Having money and buying stuff requires money for maintenance for that stuff. George Carlins views on stuff still hold true for everyone.

Who is this Matt Lauer by the way?

Matt Lauer has a net worth of $60 million and an annual salary of $25 million

His net worth is actually "low" in relation to his salary.

Is he worth making $ 25 million?

Yes and no, he is very good.

Salaries and net worth of the "stars" of these US network morning shows are
all over the map. Matt making the most money for sure.

ABC ...

Robin Roberts....salary $14 million per year.....net worth $ 25 million

George Stephanopoulos ...salary $ 15 million per year ...net worth $ 18 million

Ginger Zee ....salary $ 120K ....net worth $ 400,000

CBS .....

Charlie Rose ...salary $ 8 million per year ....net worth $ 25 million

Gayle King ....salary $ 2 million per year ....net worth $ 20 million

Norah O'Donnell ...salary $ 900K per year ....net worth $ 8 million

NBC ...

Al Roker ....salary $ 8 million per year ....net worth $ 30 million

Savannah Guthrie ...salary $ 500K per year ...net worth $ 2 million

Dylan Dreyer ...salary $ 117K per year ....net worth $ 1 million

So ....Matt is the kingtron of morning TV (though Kelly Ripa is not far behind) .

Don't really know or watch him but regardless, it seems way too much $$ for anyone considering what he is doing. Then again I freaked out when I heard the top two clowns from Big Bang Theory will be getting $1 million per episode!

All that pale in comparison to what networks are bringing in....

Newscasters make big bucks. I don't really understand how or why... they just read the news, the audience for network news is also dwindling by the day... how much real journalistic chops do these "star" newsreaders require?

The fact that these news anchors are so recognizable, and that audiences get comfortable with them, that must be the only thing keeping the nightly newscast "brands" on life support. That's the only explanation for these huge salaries.

The only thing I don't like abt Matt is that he likes dressing up as a woman too much!!??

I'm not quite sure what to make of that.
