She began her career in the 1930s. Don't know how many survivors there are of radio's golden age.
That is a good question. The only one I can think of is Rose Marie who is still with us at age 92. Yes she is more famous as being in the cast of The Dick Van Dyke show but Rose was a big radio star and a young one at that back in the 1920s and 30s.
June Foray, voice of Rocky the Squirrel, Natasha, and (Tweety's) Granny, is still alive at 98!
