He was one of those faces that was always fun to find on screen.

I remember him from 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World' which I thought was one of the funniest movies that year.

RIP Mr Kaplan.

Yes had unusal voice and distinctive look with those coke bottle thick glasses,
must have been very short sighted.

I liked him best in It's a Mad Mad Mad World.

He was in a lot of shows, I saw him just a few days ago in an episode of
Night Court.

Funny it's indicating he was born in 1927, I could have sworn I've seen
1924 as his birth year in old celebrity Almanacs, I'll have to check.
