It must be weird turning 100. Wiki says he had 6 sisters, pretty sure they're all dead. Most of his life-long friends similar in age are probably long gone. I was surprised to read that his ex-wife is still alive at 97.

At 100, I'd guess one would probably just spend as much time with your kids and all the grand kids as often as possible...

One of my favorite actors of all-time.

An absolutely fantastic milestone, and I didn't even realize that he was even still alive. He's been reclusive, hasn't he? Kirk Douglas had a lot of versatility as an actor and was very memorable, and so, it's no surprise to see him get to this point in his life. He should savor this with everything he's got.

I think Kirk had a stroke in 96 and cant speak ..Lauren Becall his ex classmate urged him to try films and got him to meet Hal B Wallis, the rest is history. Happy birthday when it comes Spartacus.
