I haven't even thought about either Carrie or Debbie in the last 20 years, and I'm one of the few people who has never seen Star Wars, but this image that Todd tweeted out really grabbed my heart strings.

Im watching Debbie and Carries last TV venture... and you can see inside their homes.. also Debbie onstage still working away..in her sparkly outfits.. Debbies skin is still lovely and her bright eyes too..Todd her son tells how Frank Sinatra tells Debbie not to marry a singer, of course she doesnt listen..They seem like a lovely loving family..

I watched it earlier in the day, too.... Not sure yet what I think of it... Sad, poignant, funny....
Debbie had really gotten frail in her last couple or three years..... and Carrie seemed pretty heavily medicated in various scenes, but given the severity of her illness........
What really shown through, though, was the extraordinary depth and strength of their bond...... It seems fitting that they passed so closely in time......

I mentioned the same thing to my partner of how they both seemed so close.. it was lovely.. Debbies show though at her age had lost its sparkle I thought,, and maybe better that she would have left on top... her audience though appreciated her a lot..
