I just saw a regular, not too bad not too good Nicolas Cage movie and the end credits told me January Jones was in it. Now, she isn't my type as far as "beautiful! Omg!" but.. Was she a "flash in the pan?"

I don't think she is a flash in the pan. I think she's a single mother who has been focusing more on her child than her career. More power to her.

She's got a role in The Last Man on Earth, a TV show.

Not sure what her being your type has to do with it but January Jones had had a lot of roles. Hardly a flash in the pan.

I don't know the "flash" presumes she became very well known for something and didn't live up to that role or potential shown. I have no ideal what role that was, I just remember her in X-Men and wondered why all the hate was sent her way.

First thing I ever noticed her in was Mad Men where she played John Hamm's first wife.

Her role on that shrunk as the seasons went on.

She had a role in a successful cable show that went on for what, five seasons? Followed by a relatively successful network show that's now in its third.

That's not my definition of "flash in the pan." That's more like a sustainable career.
