In case some haven't heard Mary Tyler Moore passed away. What's your opinion of her show? What type of impact did it have on TV? Was her show one of the first adult oriented sitcoms like Taxi,Cheers etc?

Sadly, many on the show are living on borrowed time.

Fast forward just a few years and they will all be gone.

Ah, time. How it turns the young to old, and the living? Dead.

One and all will be sorely missed!

Heard she was very sick, us Minneapolis old-timers will be in mourning.

I saw her on Broadway 35+ years ago in a limited run of Whose Life Is It Anyway, about a paralyzed sculptor fighting for the right to die.

The whole play takes place in a hospital room with her lying in bed, and she was fantastic.

She was a very talented actor and dancer. We always think of her as the girl who "can turn the world on with a smile" but she was excellent in "Ordinary People" and won a special Tony for her work on stage. She supported more than a dozen charities supporting human rights and against animal cruelty. I grew up watching "The Dick Van Dyke Show" with my family and Saturday night was always "Mary Tyler Moore" night.

Rest in Peace.
