Yes, my wife just emailed me that Ms. Moore had passed away. Bless her heart, she (a long-time Type I diabetic) had been doing poorly for some time.


I enjoyed her acting for most of my life, growing up watching her on the Dick Van Dyke show, then moving on to the Mary Tyler Moore show. Of course, she did some movies (Ordinary People, and some movie with Elvis).


A great career. May she rest in peace.

It's 3:00 pm Eastern time, they just announced on "The Talk" she's passed away.

Just after I wrote this, the CBS news broke in to announce the sad news.
