Richard Hatch was one of the prime movers behind the reboot of BSG in the late 2000s. It was amazing to see how a cheesy 1970s concept could get redone into a serious, thoughtful, and philosophical show. He must have been very pleased to have been a part of such a standout television series in his later years.

Almost exactly three months, although he'd been having symptoms a couple of months before he was diagnosed.
I loved Galactica and his character that I used to watch as a kid. He seemed like a cool dude and glad to hear he was lauded as one, too, by people who were close to him in real life.
RIP Mr. Hatch.
