Richard Hatch was one of the prime movers behind the reboot of BSG in the late 2000s. It was amazing to see how a cheesy 1970s concept could get redone into a serious, thoughtful, and philosophical show. He must have been very pleased to have been a part of such a standout television series in his later years.

Michael (Landon), Patrick (Swayze), Donna Reed, Pavarotti, and now Richard. All died from the demon that is pancreatic cancer.

Almost exactly three months, although he'd been having symptoms a couple of months before he was diagnosed.

I loved Galactica and his character that I used to watch as a kid. He seemed like a cool dude and glad to hear he was lauded as one, too, by people who were close to him in real life.
RIP Mr. Hatch.
