yes so sad said he had surgery last spring and I'm wondering if what he was suffering from finally killed him . So sad one of my faves for sure . 2017 looks like it is picking up when 2016 left off .... we are loosing so many good actors . RIP mr Paxton . I hope they don't try to continue his show training day w/o him .

The link says he died after suffering a stroke post-heart surgery. Sorry to hear this, he was one of my favorites.

This is a shock... My favorites portrayals were Hudson (Aliens) and Simon (True Lies); he had great tallent and will be missed.
