1922 birth year makes sense....for years most sources stated 1924 but
I always thought it was wrong.... her son, Terry Melcher, was born in February 1942,
she was 19, almost 20 then, not 17.

Anyway loved her later movies best....

Doris Day was a real movie star. She could sing and act. She was a beauty. Her movies are still shown on TCM.

Doris also experienced great tragedy in her life including the death of her only child and very unhappy marriages.

She is one strong broad. I admire her for that! She's a survivor.

LOVE Doris Day. Sometimes I think her voice tended to eclipse her formidable acting gifts.

I read once that this was her favorite role. Mine, too.
