At age 61, I have to say that I totally admire my "big sister", Dame Helen Mirren. At age 71, she is sexy, witty, earthy, outspoken and beautiful. She is everything I could only hope to be at her age.
I still remember years ago when she rose to accept a Golden Globe Award, wearing the most flawless gown and looking positively regal as she ascended to the stairs. She turned to the mic and calmly announced, "Well, I should say that in these shoes, my greatest accomplishment of the evening was not falling ass over t i t t i e s down those stairs."
That remark, in that moment, was perfection.

None! It's never occurred to me to emulate a celebrity.

Well yes, now that you mention it, I was obsessed with Nancy Kerrigan when I was around 12/13. I took skating lessons for a short time but I was no good at it. lol I still like Nancy.

LOVE Dame Helen. She's definitely a great example.

For me, it would have to be Robin Roberts and Ellen DeGeneres. If more people followed their examples of goodness, positivity, and kindness, the world would be a much better place.

Can't see Mirren as beautiful. Recall a BBC documentary broadcast on her and it included beach scenes. Saggy in front and back and what is beautiful about her face? Barbara Eden different story and she's about 15 years older.

Why would I emulate anyone besides myself? I'm fine with who I am.

Has anyone seen Lily Tomlin in the Neflix series "Grace & Frankie?" I realize she has make-up artists and wardrobe professionals working on the set that dress her for the role. But her look is very interesting--hippy yet chic! Both she and her co-star Jane Fonda (classic) are flawless for their ages. I have a couple more decades to go to reach their ages, but geeeez when I am in my 70's---I'd shoot for that!

Right now---nope, no celebrity looks for me!

You're crazy. She has a gorgeous face. Have you seen Barbara Eden recently, or are you just having IDoJ fantasies?

Helen has always looked good for her age.

Real name: Helen Mironoff....her father was a Russian diplomat.
