Her real voice was not far off the mark from Rocket J Squirrel, I saw her in an old movie/TV show and spotted her voice immediately, she was definitely locked into animation work after Rocky. I thank her for all the entertainment, Rocky & Bullwinkle was shown quite often in the 70's & 80's in reruns, and her voice and the writing really made up for the bad animation in many 60's cartoons.
Watching Rocky and Bullwinkle on a black and white, tiny (by today's standards), television screen was so special to my generation. Remember Sherman and Mr. Peabody? Such a wonderful cartoon show, written with lines you thought were funny as a kid, but adults could enjoy the double entendre, too.
99 years old is a good run! She and Rocky were very important to my childhood. Thank you, June Foray.
Here's a Fractured Fairy Tale with intensive use of June's voice, gotta love some of things they could get away with in the 60's cartoons, LMAO. She sure was a beautiful woman, I liked that picture the OP posted, she had nice hooters too.
I was sorry to read of her passing: truly the end of an era.
