Now that I think about it, it seems that the late Patrick Swayze had been in a long career slump when he was striken with the cancer that killed him. I know he played in a short-lived A&E series called "The Beast" a year or so before he died, but what notable movies did he play in post-"Point Break"?
He was in Donnie Darko as the self help guru with a dark secret. I think Patrick was great in everything ge did. I also believe had he lived he would have gotten hired for an Oscar worthy role in a drama. Sad this was not to be.
His appearance on SNL was great too. Especially the dance off with Chris Farley.

Yeah.. I thought about mentioning Donnie Darko, but when I looked it up.. I wasn't entirely sure it qualified. It was REALLY pretty minor. But.. I'll certainly give you that one.
A&E sucks, too. They also cancelled Longmire (supposedly because they didn't own it), hence its move to Netflix.
