I have a feeling I probably wouldn't like Will Smith on a personal level, and the way he and his wife raised their son...just bizarre.
But, as an actor I admire him. Not only is he good, but unlike some stars today he doesn't just try to stick with the huge box office films. Yes, he does some. But in between he regularly acts in some pretty middle of the road pictures. It seems to me that he is trying to get rich AND protect a legacy as an actor. Kudos!
Think I lost a lot of respect for him when I read his childrens take on life... talk about narcisstic, WILLow and JADEn...mini MEs.... http://nypost.com/2016/03/10/wtf-is-...-wackjob-kids/ Im reminded of a DeNiro funny movie with the Fockers with Wills, Circle of Safety where his kids can talk and tell him anything their up to, dont kid yourself Will, your a controlling fool if you do this.. I have no credit to give the man now.... him and his wife have created the biggest ever hollywood brats.
There's definitely talk about him making certain... personal sacrifices... and.. deals... when he reached stardom, who knows how it affected him and his children. Sad part is he was talented enough to get where he was and didn't have to go down that path. Hollywood eats you alive if you let it.
Let's see the guy can memorize a script and find his mark for the camera. Ok. Oh and he did turn down ID2 because the studio refused to pay his salary demands.

Celebrities...meh.
Well Jim, I didn't say he was the world's greatest actor. I said he was a "good" actor, and I pointed out that he doesn't just take what are expected to be the big box office hit-type movies, that he still performs in quite a very middle of the road films.
Considering that he gets more role offers than he can accept, why would he not demand "top dollar"? He's a bankable star.
Smith hasn't had a hit movie in at least 5 years. I think his "bankable star" days are over or at least on pause.
Really?
