Recently became a big fan after watching the spell-binding Peaky Blinders...

but not sure what other movies or tv shows he has been in...can you remember? Would love to see more of his work.

I first saw him in Wind that Shakes the Barley and I know what you mean. I binge watched all four seasons of PB - he's got those eyes. The Wind movie was so good - by the way, one of my classmates spoke of him recently and called him 'Sillian' but Cillian is pronounced 'Killian' as there is no letter K in their alphabet. Like we pronounce Celtic 'Keltic'.

Will look for that movie...he seems to choose unusual roles, which I like...

Yes, C was pronounced as K...in Cillian. Cillie is Irish for "association with the church"...

In PB, he talks in a low but gravely whisper...hard to follow without written translation. But Alfie's accent was worse, very hard to follow.

My favorite Cillian Murphy movie:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMMGg_idxqE

He was also in "Girl with a Pearl Earring", but I disliked him in the role he played. He was supposed to be a (relatively, at least) good guy, but he came off as creepy and kind of smarmy, IMO.

(Fast forward to 1:20 for one of their scenes together.)

He was great in 28 days later, sunshine and Batman begins. He also is known to keep his personal life under wraps and stays out of trouble. Good on him.
