I think when people read 40-50 stitches, they get a frankenstein-esque image in their heads. In reality, the field of plastic surgery (particularly the caliber of doctors that a celebrity can afford to see) utilizes things like clear sutures and micro sutures.

On Sunday (today), she'll be returning to the stage for the first time at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards...

Oh come on people. Let “Jesus take the wheel”. The worst song ever, especially for the stupid people who really think Jesus is going to take the wheel...

I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I got my plastic Jesus,
Riding on the dashboard of my car,
Comes in colors pink and pleasant,
Glows in the dark 'cause it's iridescent,
Take it with you when you travel far...

I have to admit that now it feels to me like there was some serious attention seeking going on. I don't doubt that she fell and injured her wrist. But the months of buildup about her facial injuries and going into seclusion and warning her fans that she would look different ... She looks exactly the same. What's the big deal?

I have to say this and it may not be true at all. I may be way out there. But I wonder how much was PR spin? She re-emerges at the same time as a new song is released. Hmm. Reminds me of the way Taylor Swift's people shut down all her social media accounts right before they released her next offering.

I'm a die hard cynic, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm going to slink away now.

P.S. I like Carrie Underwood overall so this is not directed at her as a person . . . more at the way the PR industry works.

She looked very beautiful last night at the country music awards show. To me, it looked like she has a new chin implant which gives a new shape to the lower part of her face - if it's a chin implant, it makes her face look very attractive.

Interesting! I didn't see the show last night. I'll have to look up the video. She always was lovely. I did read somewhere that she is very self-conscious about it. Hopefully she'll have enough positive feedback to help her get past that. It probably still feels so new.

The picture that emerged in January of her leaving a gym, hardly looked like one of someone who'd had "a gruesome injury" and "40 or 50 stitches" on her face just 6 weeks prior.

Maybe the other cosmetic surgery to which a poster referred was the reason she alerted fans back then that, when they saw her again, she'd look different.

That means it must be a lie!

............guess not.
