Brendan Fraser is the latest actor to come forward with his story of sexual assault in the wake of the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements. In a new interview with GQ published on Thursday, the Mummy star, 49, claims that former Hollywood Foreign Press Association (the non-profit organization that votes for the Golden Globe awards) president Philip Berk sexually assaulted him in the summer of 2003, while at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel — an alleged incident Berk disputes.
The actor says he believes he was blacklisted in Hollywood partly due to the aftermath of the alleged incident. According to Fraser, the assault happened when Berk reached out to shake Fraser’s hand on his way out of the hotel. “His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint. And he starts moving it around,” Fraser claimed.
Must have been during his "Encino Man" and "School Ties" days when he was still kind of hot.
The reason he's not as hot is bc he was having back problems and surgeries for 7 years and couldn't exercise/work. Add in a bad divorce and you'd get chubby and age faster, too.
I think the article was sad and honest. I still can't pass his Mummy movies on TV when I am surfing channels, I have to stop and watch:-). I don't like the fact some people are making fun of him in the social media. If he was a woman, this would be considered a sexual assault. Why should it be any different for a man. In any case, I don't think this is a new story. I read about this a decade ago and that he may have been blacklisted because he asked for an apology. Of course, back then, it was not a big deal as it is now.

Even though I have the two Mummy DVDS with Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weiz, I still watch every time it is on TV. I hated the 3rd one without Rachel Weiz.
