But the Wilki article brought up an interesting fact, the lyricist behind that song was none other than TV's Sergeant Ernest Bilko, known in real-life as Phil Silvers.

It is a beautiful song for sure, whoever it was written for originally........

But, he was always loyal in his way, to Nancy, the mother of his children. She returned that loyalty all her life.

I have seen a photo of Frank hugging Nancy in his old age. She was always there in the background, and Ava, Mia, and Barbara, all knew to speak of her with respect.
Frank sent flowers to Ava s funeral and some say a limo drove up with blacked out windows but no one got out...

The man had a voice of an angel but was a bully and had a very wicked streak...Andy Williams tells of one event in his company when a drunk spilled drink over someone in Franks company.. Frank quickly ordered his heavies to take the man outside and broke his nose... nice man..Dean Martin told of Franks temper and how he had to save a man in Franks private plane from being thrown out the door... after he had disagreed with Frank...https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obi...k-Sinatra.html looks like Sinatra had a mental disorder.

Yes! Great singer; not a good person. Glad you provided some balance.
