Old-school to new school: Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, J. Anthony Brown, Bruce Bruce, Eddie Murphy, Steve Harvey, Nephew Tommy, Lavell Crawford, Marvin Dixon, Tim Allen (in his prime, no one was funnier than him), George Carlin (his stand-ups were hilarious laced with truth).

Great thread! Now I have some new names I can Google to entertain myself with stand-up clips.

Gary Gulman is one of my faves!!!Seen him live several times.

A new fave is Steve Soelberg. Learned of him by following "Dry Bar Comedy" on fb. (I **highly** recommend checking that out. Apparently it's a comedy club in Provo Utah---hence "dry"---all clean comedy, most of the clips I've seen on fb are hilarious!)

Because of this thread I went looking for stand ups and found some really funny ones.

Check out Jimmy Carr and Bob Nelson.
