And.. Holy crap.. ALL THREE were 76 years old.

It's a bad day to be 76 and famous.

Someone find Paul McCartney and put him under protection for the rest of the day.

Tennille apparently didn't have the decency to tell her husband about the divorce to his face. The "Captain" found out when he was served with papers. Proceedings mentioned health insurance/issues with the Captain, but yes, Toni Tennille moved back in with her ex during his final time and was there when he passed.

It is a weird song, made even worse by The Captain's musical sound effects meant to emulate rodents mating. Yeesh!

Of all the weird and icky songs of the 1970's (and there were plenty) "Muskrat Love" was right up on top of my list

Since was a kid if in company of adults couldn't just turn the channel, but if was alone promptly changed the station when ML came on.

Talent-deprived duo.

Amazing that they went as far as they did.

And they whirl and they twirl and they tango... Yuck!

What's hard to believe is that America recorded the song three years earlier than The Captain and Tenille.

He did have musical talent... not so sure about Tennillle. I know some very respected older professional musicians who worked with him and said he was a well-regarded classical pianist/composer before pairing up with Tennille.

That's true. His father was a famous conductor. Neil Sedaka wrote their first hit, which Dragon and Hal Blaine played on. He also played piano on the Beach Boys records (but then again, who didn't play on Beach Boy songs).
