He played Rollo on Sanford and Son. I always thought Rollo was one of TV's coolest characters. He was straight 70's.

I just saw that... sad to hear, but physical death is undefeated. He couldn't recover from a heart attack.

I agree - Rollo's cool factor was high. I remember him on What's Happening as Rerun's uncle that always gave him a hard time because of his weight.

Good for him re his life though.

He lived to be 80.

He was still married to the same woman he had 7 kids with.

He had 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
