Nope. Others took candid photos throughout the years, at fan conventions, and he looks even worse in those.

I remember at one point hearing that he was homeless in Orange County, CA but.....looking at his IMDB page....that seems not to be the case.

The media reports have stated that he died at age 74, but if IMDB has his birthdate right, he was 73 (would have turned 74 in July).
Most sources I have, including old Almanacs (remember them) indicate 1944 as his birth year,
including Wiki....but you’re right imdb has 1945. In the old days that was quite common,
Doris Day, for example, all older sources indicate 1924 for her, only recently now “corrected” to 1922,
and she’s still going strong.

I remember that one too - & only his 70's output where he usually took his shirt off Never saw Airwolf but, yes he became too difficult as an addict to work a show around. He broke court probation by getting into yet another drunken bar fight & since he was one of the highest paid actors working in tv then on one of the most expensive shows, helicopters aren't cheap y'know, they just cancelled the show & he kept declining.

He was quoted in one of his stories somewhere that all he ever really wanted to be "was a drunk". Hard to imagine the destructive force of that terrible addiction. RIP

He WAS Byron Henry. So much better than Hart Bochner who played the part in War and Remembrance.

Yes I went back this weekend and watched Winds of War on You tube. Though he was 40 at the time he had the exact demeanor of the character. While Hart Bochner was like a completely different sophisticated person.

Did you ever see "Going Home" from 1971? Another film where he and Robert Mitchum played father and son.

RIP Sad news. Liked his work. Think I'll screen up Buster and Billie tonight.
