She was Ted Baxters wife on the Mary Tyler Moore show and she was also for a time on Everybody loves Raymond . She was such a talent and funny . We are losing all our talented actors and actresses so sad . RIP Georgia Engel .

Holy mackerel. I thought she was older than that. I didn't know she was only 24 when she showed up on MTM.
Ted knight was 25 yrs her senior then. I'm floored. I thought she was about as old as the rest of them or at least... not that far behind. She was the baby of the show.

Wow didn't anyone proofread that article?

Anyway, great actor but why did I think she was much older? I never saw MTM the first the time around but she seemed older in that too...

While remember Ms. Engel from MTM, also loved her later work including as Amy's mom in "Everybody Loves Raymond".

Am not hating or anything, but going at 70 is too soon IMHO. More so since because of her religious beliefs the late Ms. Engel didn't seek out medical care for whatever mortal illness she suffered.

Surprised that Entertainment Tonight did not mention her passing in tonight’s show. She was a multiple Emmy nominee. You would think it would be a top news item. Jay
