Richard Chamberlain had to be the most gorgeous man in his youth--and I don't even like yellow hair. Don, Johnson, too, was good-looking during his Miami Vice days (and I don't even like yellow hair...).
I like Denzel Washington, too--proof that imperfect bites can be very attractive. And, yes, Marlon Brando was a hunk in his youth.
My first crush ever was Desi Arnaz, setting the tone for tall, dark and handsome! I also prefer rugged as opposed to baby-faced, hence I preferred John over Paul, and Mike over Davy.
Most "handsome" aka good looking, nice looking, attractive I choose James Darren, Dweezil Zappa, Michael Callan, all from my younger days and all tall, dark and handsome.

As a man I can't say I care all that much about who's 'handsome' but based on what I've read about both Newman and Selleck seem to be/have been men of character and integrity and the kind of folks I'd like to have a beer with. And having once been out on a track with Newman during the same practice session I can say from experience he was one fast old man!
Back in the day, Sam Elliott, Paul Newman, Robert Redford. Robert Downey Jr. is quite something to look at, and Chris Hemsworth is fine-looking young man.
1. Alexander the Great.
2. Woody Strode.
3. Tony Bennett.
