Sad article in today L.A.Times on all the notable people who've passed in 2008, including far too many entertainers.

Link: Los Angeles Times

Then click on the category for "Actors, Actresses and Entertainers."

Wouldnt it be funny if a Black angel met Jesse Helms at the pearly gates and said "Hey! Not so fast there Senator. There's a few things we need to discuss."

Yeah, I had similar thoughts when I saw him listed on in sidebar on the right of the webpage. Of all the names on that list, it seems that Helms doesn't belong there, for his overt racism. Some people in NC defend Helms on the basis that "he spoke his mind" but that is like saying Hitler is okay because he spoke his mind about the Jewish and walked his talk. For sure that article in the L.A.Times should have had a section for 'notorious' types that passed in 2008. To include Helms' name there sullies the names of the departed ones who actually made this earth a better place - not a more hateful, divided place.

I agree. Jesse Helms had a chance, like every human being, to do some good while he was alive. He instead was a man of collosal ignorance. The scary part are those still alive but less prominent who are just like him.

actually, she seems to be doing much better these days, at least according to the random pics and gossip I hear

I fear Amy Winehouse may not be long for this world, however (such wasted talent)

What about the Olsen twins, they look like a bunch of cocaine addicted skeletons.
