For celebrities I would like to meet, there are too many to mention, although more specifically I would like to meet Eva Longoria, Paris Hilton, the band members of No Doubt (including Gwen), Kim Kardashian (and maybe her sisters), and Hayden Panettiere.
Some celebrities I've met include Tipper Gore (in 2000, when her husband Al was Vice-president and running for President the same year) and FeFe Dobson (a Canadian singer, in 2004, at a concert in my hometown). Not to mention I saw Barack Obama once, but didn't actually get to meet him.
Charles Gibson (very personable in public, actually talked with me for a minute when GMA was in Charleston)
Robin Roberts (saw her, talked for a few seconds there)
Tony Perkins (now on Fox-5 DC, interesting to listen to)
Lara Spencer (now hosts Insider, was at GMA, also nice to talk to)
Diane Sawyer (also personable to talk to, loved the presence of Charleston)
Saw Dr. Steve Lyons, the guy that does the hurricane updates on the Weather Channel at a local restaurant, here for a conference. Met our local mayor Joe Riley several times.
1. Robert Patrick (actor)
2. Mitch Ryder (of Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels)
3. Dr Spock (the famous baby doctor not Mr Spock)
4. 5 years of NY Islanders and their coach Al Arbour (early 80s)
5. Wayne Gretzky (as an Edmonton Oiler)
6. Glen Sather (Edmonton Oilers coach)
7. Jerry Coleman (when he announced for the NY Yankees)
8. Darryl Sutter (Chicago Blackhawks)
9. Willard Scott (TV weather and radio, at the time)
10. David Brinkley (half of Huntley and Brinkley, national news anchors)
11. Some NY Yankees from the losing years: Reuben Amaro, Horace Clarke
12. Dean Haglund (Lone Gunmen - Langly - X-Files)
13. Nicholas Lea (Krycek - X-Files)
14. Rob Bowman (director - X-Files)
15. James Pickens Jr (Deputy Director Kersh)
16. Chris Owens (Jeffrey Spender - X-Files)
Nicest: Robert Patrick (actor), Duane Sutter (former NY Islander), Dean Haglund
Leaving out performing musicians (because we've all been to concerts and plays), I have seen in-person, in a non-performing capacity:
1. John Travolta
2. Joaquin Phoenix
3. Jay Leno
4. Bill Clinton
5. Pat Boone
6. BB King
7. Ted Kennedy
8. Morris Chestnut
9. Indira Gandhi
10. Mike Schmidt
11. Phil Rizzuto
12. Peter Fonda
13. Nelson Mandela (from a distance as he got off a plane)
14. Roy Thinnes
15. William O. Douglas
I think there are others but I honestly can't remember them.
Who would I like to meet?
I can't think of anyone that's alive that I'd like to meet to just shake their hand and chit-chat except maybe Rudy Giuliani, Tony Blair, Bernard Goldberg, George W Bush, Clarence Thomas and General Petraeus. There are some people I wouldn't mind going to see speak live - former UN Ambassador John Bolton comes to mind as does terror expert Steven Emerson, Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. From the entertainment world - maybe Chris Carter (X-Files).
I like other famous people as celebrities but have no desire to meet them or see them in person.
Back in Las Vegas I was known among the celebs who owned homes there. Im an award winning Kitchen Designer and lived there for quite awhile (way too long).
The following are those who I designed and sold kitchens to. I have to leave a couple out because of a promise they asked me to make to them.
Celine Dions Mom and her then Manager now married to Rene Angelil
Mark Slaughter from the 80s rock band Slaughter
Catfish Hunter Oakland A's star pitcher in the 70s with the famous handlebar mustash
BB King
Buddy Hackett the Comedian
Sandy Hackett his son
Tiger Woods and his then Swedish Maid whom he later married. Wow is she one cold bleep. I never wanted to hit a woman in my life till I met her.
I did Mike Tyson and Robin Givens master bathroom back east. One week after we finished was the now famous Barbara Walters interview where Robin admitted to the world that he beat her. They divorced just after that. The next door neighbors were Whitney Houston, and Malcom Forbes.
Some of you may know that Jon Bon Jovi refuses to put his kids in pivate school. They go to public school like everyone else. My sisters boy plays on the same football team as Jons boy. Jon stops at the bus stop many mornings just to say hi to the kids and give them some good wisdom. My Mom sits next to Jon and wife at the school games. Jons neighbor a few doors up is Geraldo Riviera's home. Jons home is boomerang shaped 4 stories high done in light tan bricks right on the Navasink River. Geraldo's 33' sailboat has never moved from it's mooring in 20 years. It is all barnacle encrusted.
By my ex wifes friends, I met David Crosby and his newly found son he never knew he had James Raymond. We had back stage pases to see CPR (Crosby, Ramond and Pevar). CSNYs long long time personal photographer is an immigration Lawyer in Newport Beach, Calif and my then wife was close friends with him which is how we got to meet so many musicians.
This same ex wife dated Bryan Adams as well as Roger Fisher guitarist of Heart. In fact Roger dumped her for Nancy Wilson.
More that I met through her:
Judy Collins and her family. Love her hair.
Neal Schon the great guitarist from Journey who jammed with CPR in Pasadena Calif. during a benefit concert.
My now wife (another ex groupie) dated Billy Gibbins from ZZ Top and can brag that she groomed his beard.
She was also very close friends with the TV sitcom wife of George Jefferson from The Jeffersons. Louise, her real name is Isabel Sanford. They hung out in the San Luis resort in Galveston Texas. She told me lots of stories where they got dirty looks and people said things because Isabel Sanford is black and we are white. They were good close friends and that hurt her.
Yikes this could get longer so I shall shut up there.

I worked as an author escort for a number of years, so I've met a few famous people (mostly authors):
Anne Rice - lovely.
Ali McGraw - one of my favorites; an absolute delight.
Diana Ross - very full of herself
Ryan O'Neal - what an ass.
Mickey Mantle - Ditto.
Sean Young - Aloof.
Kim Basinger - Ditto.
Jane Fonda - shy and sweet.
Mick Jagger - sweet, charming and flirtatious.
Colin Powell - very kind, a strong presence.
Lauren Bacall - pure class, strikingly beautiful at 75 (her age when I met her).
Ginger Rogers - very frail, but sweet.
Eric Roberts (Julia's brother) - we met at a party when we were both in high school...I'll keep the events of that night to myself.
Hello,
I met the Bellamy Brothers (singers from the 70's, 80's, 90's) They were from my home town and I dated their cousin.
I met Bryan Adams and his band. A friend of mine and i decided we'd go to his concert. I wasn't wild about going to concerts because I don't like getting trampled, plus I feel they are just normal people also.
Anyway, we went to the concert, and as we were just getting there, Bryan and his band pulled in. We walked over and he got off the bus, stuck out his hand to shake hands and said "hi, I'm Bryan". By that time the guards were making everyone leave and Bryan told the guards we were with them. We could hardly believe it. We got on the bus with them and when it was time for the concert, we went back stage. We also got up on stage to sing "Cuts like a knife" with them.
After the concert, they invited us to the Don Caesar hotel with them (I'm sure spelling is wrong on that). They offered to put us up, but we said no. They asked us to come the next night to the concert in the next town, so we met them there. They had passes waiting for us. We did the same thing again. It was all like a dream. They wanted us to go with them again, but we couldn't. They are very nice, down to earth people. They took pictures of us and treated us so good. We got pictures also, and autographs. :-)
I love finding out who are nice and who aren't so much.
Ali McGraw-glad to know she's nice as she just looks nice. ya know?
Thought Kim B might be nice--too bad.
Colin Powell-just wow. I would be in awe of him. Truly glad he's nice. Jane Fonda-surprised to know she's sort of shy--she seems so ballsy.
Lauren Bacall is nice tho? really? Ya know I would have thought she would be a real B***H.
DO TELL about that party night--hmmmmmmm......
