This kid's a joke. A no talent joke. Why Disney is wasting their time and $$ on her is beyond me.

Nothing is mentioned in the article about why these youngsters did this. But as I mentioned in a thread about another celebrity, once you gain fame your life becomes a fishbowl. You cannot afford to slip or do something stupid, because those around you may not be "friends", after all. Whomever is responsible for this photo getting published was certainly not one.

But unlike the comment above, I think the girl is incredibly talented. A bit over-exposed but that's a curse of the media. She merely replaces Spears, who couldn't sing in the first place.

This is yellow journalism zeroing in on the ch*nk in Miley's armor but she will rice and shine again since life is sometimes sweet and sometimes sour.
Miley seems like she would be a nice gal to takeout and I'm sure she knows how to use her noodle and that's the mein thing but I really doubt that a lawyer will try to suey her--that would be just plain wong. Let's face it: she is a bit koi but soy what? She woks!

I doubt it's racism but I do think it's naïvity by her and the rest of them as to how the photo would be recieved.

And am I the only one who found the line "The only person in the group not joining in is a young man of Asian descent" hilarious? Maybe it's my slightly skewed sense of humour but it's not exactly rocket science as to why that might be.

Rather than coming to conclusions, shouldn't we know the context of the photo? The Asian person is not making a face. Maybe, they all said 'Why can't we be like (or smart like) - whoever is in the photo)"?
